Slickr

In Screensaver

slickr.png

Slickr is a free screensaver program for Windows that pulls images from a Flickr user, group, tag, or even from your local drive (if you so desire).

The screensaver is actually very attractive, very configurable, and offers a nice way to showcase your Flickr images or some Flickr images you like. If you're a Flickr lover and you've been jonesing for a different screensaver from the Windows XP logo, Slickr is a pretty cool choice.

Explore a disk image without burning a disk

In emulation

Free software DAEMON Tools allows you to mount nearly any CD or DVD image as though you'd already burned the disc.

DAEMON Tools is a virtual cd/dvd-rom emulator. It is able to emulate nearly all known copy protections on the market today.

A tool like DAEMON Tools can come in handy if you've backed up a lot of your CD or DVD-ROMs as ISOs. It can also come in handy to explore a disk image before burning it.

Bonjour

In Networking

The sleek and simple networking capabilities of Mac OS X's Bonjour is also available as a free download for Windows.

Now anyone using a Windows PC can take advantage of the effortlessness of Bonjour for free. The Bonjour Setup Wizard makes setting up a printer under Windows as easy as Mac OS X (we can’t make it as beautiful, unfortunately).

If you spend more time than you'd care to acknowledge trying to setup networked printers, or if you're just looking for an easier way, Bonjour might be worth a try.
